Lead up tasks: High School Students- a good task for high school students to learn this practice would be to have practice with live game situation. A pitcher, first baseman, second basemen, catcher, right fielder and center fielder, the purpose is for the batter to hit it to the right side of the field by stepping into the ball and the pitch. Anything to the left side of the field is an out. As students start learning not to hit it to the left side of the field they will be physically learning how to hit the ball down the first baseline and to the right side of the field.
Lead up tasks: Middle School Students- a good task for middle school students would be setting up a tee ball stand on the outside of the plate. The batter should work on stepping into the pitch and keeping there eye on the ball. As they follow through they will be using there body stepping into the tee ball stand with the ball atop of it and hitting it to right field.
